As a summer send-off, the DMS crew enjoyed a mid-day reset with a hibachi chef cooking right in our backyard—an interactive (and delicious) experience everyone loved.
After lunch, we broke out the cornhole boards for a few competitive rounds and lots of laughs.
We’re always grateful for the chance to step away from the day-to-day, recharge, and spend time together as a team!

Yesterday, the DMS team joined POAH Communities, project partners, and community memebers to celebrate the start of construction on The Rose—a 100% affordable housing community that will bring 46 long-awaited apartments to the city of Cambridge.
The groundbreaking featured remarks from Secretary Ed Augustus, Senator Sal DiDomenico, and Representative Mike Connolly, each underscoring the critical need for housing that`s not only attainable and accessible, but rooted in comunity values.
A project years in the making, The Rose is a transformative adaptive reuse of a historic rectory, convent, and school—preserving a piece of the neighborhood`s part while addressing the needs of its future.
Converting a structure of this kind is no easy feat, and we`re proud to be leading the architectural design alongside an incredible team committed to bringing this housing to the community.
We look forward to sharing more as The Rose continues to take shape.

DMS had a great time at the #AIA25 Conference on Architecture & Design in Boston earlier this month! We were especially excited to attend locally this year and take full advantage of everything the expo had to offer.
From reconnecting with industry peers to exploring the latest design innovations, the event was packed with inspiration and forward-thinking ideas.
Experiences like this fuel our passion for designing thoughtful, sustainable, and inclusive spaces—and we’re excited to bring some fresh insights into our design process moving forward!

Last Thursday, DMS design, llc attended Citizens` Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA)`s 58th Annual Dinner in Boston—a powerful evening dedicated to advancing affordable housing across Massachusetts.
We were inspired by the energy in the room and the meaningful words shared by several speakers, including CHAPA CEO Rachel Heller. It’s always encouraging to see so many dedicated professionals come together in support of housing equity.
Thank you to CHAPA for hosting such a thoughtful and impactful event. We’re already looking forward to next year!
