We’re excited to share before-and-after highlights from a recently completed occupied interior renovation of a historic factory building in Lynn, MA—an affordable housing community home to hundreds of senior residents.
Working alongside Redwood Housing, whose commitment to quality, safe, and comfortable housing closely aligns with our own, Redwood’s resident-focused approach helped guide which areas to prioritize to ensure the greatest benefit for residents.
Focused on enhancing the building’s amenity spaces, updates included refreshed lobby areas, a welcoming community room, salon, and library, along with new amenities such as a fitness center and computer lab.
One of our favorite details? The new wayfinding signage, thoughtfully designed to celebrate the building’s past lives and showcase historic photos of Lynn from the time the building was originally constructed.

Leah Rogoz first joined us as an intern and later came on full-time after graduation. After moving to Colorado to be closer to family, we were sad to see her go—but we’re thrilled to have her back at DMS in her new role as Job Captain!

Nothing brings our team together quite like celebrating new (and returning!) colleagues.
Last week, some of the DMS crew headed out for a fun night of drinks, darts, and good conversation as we welcomed two team members. Nora You joined us as a Job Captain, and Leah Rogoz, also a Job Captain, is returning to DMS after completing multiple co-ops with us and working with the team afterward. We’re thrilled to have them both on board!
It was a great chance to connect, catch up, and continue building the strong, collaborative culture we strive for at DMS.

Everyone deserves a safe place to come home to at the end of the day.
This message rang loud and clear last night at Caritas Communities` 40th Annual Gala. Members of the DMS team joined hundreds of donors and supporters to celebrate such meaningful work.
We heard powerful words from Executive Director Frank Connell and several Caritas members, including the Caritas Cornerstones. We also had the privilege of hearing a firsthand story from a resident whose experience with Caritas helped him rebuild his life—an inspiring reminder of why this work matters.
Supporting this event and learning more about the incredible impact Caritas has made across Massachusetts is especially meaningful to us. Their mission aligns closely with our #housingforall commitment, and we’re proud to be partnering with them on an upcoming project.
