New construction of a 44-unit affordable, age-restricted (62+) apartment building with 2 studio units, 38 one-bedroom units, 4 two-bedroom units, and 48 parking spaces. Amenities include a common / multi-function room, outdoor patio, mail parcel room, central laundry room, and office space. Due to the surrounding wetlands, the V-shaped building footprint was strategically designed to minimize the impact to the surrounding area. The site is walkable to downtown and has bicycle parking as well as parking for residents and their guests. The addition of this housing will help the Town of Topsfield meet the state-mandated required amount of affordable housing. The project will be designed for Enterprise Green Communities and Energy Star compliance.
