We’re thrilled to share that our Midwinter Apartments project has officially received #PHIUS design certification!
Achieving PHIUS certification is a significant milestone, demonstrating the thoughtful coordination, meticulous detailing, and high-performance building strategies required to meet one of the industry’s most rigorous standards for energy efficiency. At DMS design, llc, sustainability is at the core of our approach, and we’re proud to design housing that is not only affordable, but also resilient and environmentally responsible.
Midwinter Apartments will be a five-story, new construction development providing 34 affordable apartments to the city of Quincy, creating safe and dignified homes for individuals in need. Working alongside Caritas Communities & NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, this project will expand access to high-quality affordable housing while supporting a more sustainable future.

We’re excited to celebrate the recent completion of two new recovery and rehabilitation centers at 10 Technology Drive in Lowell, MA.
What makes this project especially unique is that two independent organizations, Vinfen and Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., chose to locate their services within the same building, creating an environment where individuals can more easily access a wider range of support throughout their recovery journey. While each organization operates separately, having these complementary services under one roof helps improve accessibility and creates a stronger network of care for the community.
Projects like this are especially meaningful to us because they align with our #HousingForAll mission. Access to recovery, rehabilitation, and supportive services can be a critical step toward achieving long-term stability and housing security. By creating spaces that support these services, we’re helping provide opportunities for individuals to take those important first steps forward.

Earlier this week, the DMS design, llc team celebrated the ribbon cutting for 150 River Street Village—a project more than 10 years in the making.
This new age-restricted development brings 30 crucial mixed-income housing units to the Mattapan community, helping older residents remain in the neighborhoods they’ve called home for decades. As housing costs continue to rise, developments like this are critical to preserving access to community, transportation, healthcare, and dignity in aging.
We’re incredibly proud to have been part of a project that creates not just housing, but stability and opportunity for residents to continue thriving in their community.
